The Australians had suffered a big blow in losing to Pakistan ,Bangladesh and India in the Twenty 20 World Cup.The Indians who were looked upon as a weak side without senior players considering their performance in the ODI World Cup that was held on West Indies this year.The revenge they are doing now to Indians in their Indian tour happening now.Australia lost yesterday by 8 runs in the fourth ODI after taking a 2-0 lead.Indian fightback has kept the series live by making it 2-1.The series was going one sided.

Can we compare this today's Australia to the classic West Indies of  old times.The  Australians are very aggressive in their batting .They score heavily and destroy the confidence of good bowlers in the opposition team. The  Australians  has a superb bowling attack.They had a good pace attack and spin till recently.Shane Warne plus Mcgrath is deadly combination.While the West Indies of the 80s had only a great pace attack.But it is true that today's Australia doesn't face quality oppositions that the old West Indies had faced.You have to take in to account that the rules have changed in the game in the last two decades.In the eighties six bouncers were allowed in an over,today we usually see the umpires signal 'one for the over'.Today due to the increased amount of cricket teams play .fast bowlers get injured easily.One you get injured you get out of the team for a short duration.This affects your confidence.To be a great bowler and to excel in ODIs oe should play tests.Then the confidence will carry over.That is how you should groom youngsters.We had great pacer like Richard Hadley  and Kapil Dev ,spinners like Anil Kumble  and Abdul Khader.

Sledging is an old Australian habit from the 80s onwards.They are using it to win games.They won games because they are good cricketers and good sledgers.When they say you can't bat to a batsmen,it should be ok for him.He will think 'let me show how i can bat'.But when this thing get personal he gets distressed and loses concentration and his wicket.But the never heard that the old West Indies used sledging to win games.They were aggressive.They stare at you,they bowl bouncers that may break your ribs.That is how they were aggressive.They won games because they played great cricket.Clive Llyod was lucky that that every time he had three bowlers in form and they won him games.So never had to sledge.The conclusion is today's Australia is difficult to beat.Let's see whether Indians can do it for now.
