Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer is a superhero film based on the comic book.This movie is the sequel to the 2005 movie 'Fantastic Four'.It was released on 15th July 2007 in india.Director Tom Story who also directed the first movie had worked on making the superhero film as lively and adventurous as possible.The computer generated effects are thrilling especially a chase between the Silver Surfer and the Human Torch.The fastness of the scenes make you interested in the movie.Kids also would find the movie interesting.The hifi scientific jumbo irritates many a times but since movie watchers are get used to it,we can leave it.There is a horrific dance scene of Mr Fantastic with the ladies.You should not rate it at the same genre of Spiderman movies.

The story happens two years after the plot of first film.Unlike other superheros Fantastic Four live a public life.Reed Richards (Ioan Gruffudd) and his love Sue Storm (Jessica Alba) plans a private life after marriage.They decide to live a normal family life and fixes the date for marriage.Meanwhile a silver object enter earth and it irradiates cosmic energy on it's passage.The US army contacts Reed and ask his help to build a sensor to detect it.Even though he reject it saying he wants to prepare for the marriage he builds it in secret and activates it just before the wedding.The sensor detects that the object is passing through New York.The sensor gets damaged and the marriage gets spoiled by it.But the heros manage to help the crowd from a helicopter that was crashing in to the crowd.Johnny Storm (Chris Evans) follows the object and finds that it is a humanoid ,a Silver Surfer.He has a board and flies around like a ocean surfer.Johny faces the surfer after an  exciting chase.But he drags Johnny to the upper atmosphere and his flames gets off and then drops him back to earth.He survives the fall and regains his power.But on Reed's examination it is found that the exposure to Silver Surfer's radiation has changed the molecular structure of Johnny's body allowing him to switch powers through contact to his team members.

Tracing the planets Surfer has visited before earth Reed finds that they all have been destroyed.Victor Von Doom gets life from statue and is healed by the Surfer's radiation.Fantastic team finds that they need to work with Victor Van Doom.They utimately captures the Surfer but Van Dooms acquires the powers and misuse them.There we find the stars in crisis and how they outplay a far stronger villain.The Surfer who was serving a planet eating force called Galactus decides to end it by fighting against it.

Over all it is a good movie.You can enjoy it.There is excitement and thrill.So the rating on Keralabox is 6.0/10.0.
