Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade is a 1989 english american film directed by Steven Spielberg.It is a film rated good by its quality.You would not think that the film was shot before 1990 after seeing it.The legendery historian / treasure hunter/ professor Dr. Indiana Jones is back in action.
The movie starts depicting Indiana as a boy scout in 1912 fighting tomb raiders for protecting the Cross of Colorodo which he believes should be in a museum.He gets a scar in his face due to the fight.Later in 1938, Indiana recovers the cross from the theif's ship after some stunt and adventure.He donated it to Marcus Brody's museum.
Indiana learns that his father Henry Jones Senior who was doing research in the Holy Grail.Holy Grail is the cup which have been used by Jehovah in his last supper and is believed to be having supernatural power to raise someone from death.Wealthy Walter Donovan was using Jones Sr for research to get the Holy Grail.Walter tells Indiana that his father is missing from research.Indy recieved a package which was his father's research diary.
He travel to Venice along with Marcus and find Henry's coworker Dr. Elsa Scheidner there.The trio visits a library and find a tomb beneath the building where he gets clues about location of the Grail.He gets attacted by Kazim who was a local religious group leader of a brotherhood trying to protect Grail from getting in to the hands of crooked ones.Kazim tells Indiana that Henry was locked up in a castle some where near the Austria - Germany border.
Indiana and Elsa sneak in to the castle and the find Nazis there.Soon it is revealed that Elsa and Donovan were working with the Nazis to find the Grail.Under captivity, the father and son realises that they should not allow Nazis to get to the Grail, because it will ring death bells for the world.Meanwhile Marcus was travelling to Iskenderun in Hatay to reach Alexandrian, the location of the grail.He along with the map to the Grail is captured by the Nazis.
The Jones family escapes from the castle to reach Berlin and snatches the diary from Elsa at a Nazi rally.Indiana finds Hitler at the rally in the commotion and Hitler signs an autograph to Indy.The get to Alexandria fight with the Nazis and get the Grail.Now Elsa tries to have the Grail for her and that results in a quake in the place and Grails disappears in the debris.
Both Indiana Jones and his father drinks from the Grail in the movie.Indiana drinks to find whether it is the correct Grail as a number of cups were there and a Nazi general was found dead after drinking from the wrong cup.Dr. Jones Senior is given water from the Grail after him being shot from the Nazis.Amazingly the bullet wound heals and he is back in business.In the movie the heroine is Elsa who is depicted to be working for the Nazis and having sex with both the father and the son to elicit information about the Grail.
Altogether it was a good movie.Legendery character Indiana Jones is a brave historian fighting against treasure hunters.
