Aaja Nachle is a dance based musical film of yashraj production with comeback of Madhuri dixit after a gap of 5 yrs.Her dances as well as acting is remarkable as usual with her slim figure.In this movie she plays the role of Diya who is living alone with her daughter in U.S.A .She runs dance classes and came to india to meet her Dance Guru who is at his last stage.There she fight with the thakurs,people of Ajanta for the reestablishment of Ajanta theater where she learned to dance with her friends when she was taught by her master.All were opposed to the thought of Diya who takes challenge to convince people to learn dance again which they left many years ago.
There are other impressive characters in film like Mohan(played by Ranbeer shorrey)who is a restaurant owner and loves Diya,Imran(kunal kapoor),Anokhi(konkana sen)who is in love with Imraan.Promising actors like Divya dutta and Irfhan khan are also there,Divya is Madhuri childhood friend married with Irfhan.Mrs and Mr Chojar is played by Sushmita mkherji and Vinay pathak who were humorous.
A special and impressive role of young M.P of Ajanta is played by Akshay khanna who has bet with Madhuri that he will make her loose and construct multiplex instead of Ajanta theatre.Diya goes to her child hood friend Divya but she denied to help her due to her husband fear who don't like diya because of her past.Sushmita mukherjee too dont help her due to her husband serious nature who dont like dance.Rehersal sets of Madhuri is broken by Thakur men and that scene is very watchable ,were how Madhuri convinced Thakur for her play by raising point of election.
Later on both Divya and her husband is convinced as well as Mr & Mrs chojar by continuous efforts of Diya.People and Thakur of Ajanta take part in play and it hits the show as well as their hearts.Akshay khanna too become impressed by Diya and her daughter and give permission for Ajanta Theatre.
Title song of movie is very lovely picturized and Madhuri dances and movements are very well.All other songs of movie is having classical touch and based on theme of movie.Music is good but not very catchy.Movie is bit long and women oriented.It may be liked by its unique concept and big names associated with it.Art direction and cinematography is good.Movie has different shades ,it shows the aggression of Kunal kapoor and childness of Konkana sen .Last but not the least Raghubeer yadav too play a small but noticable role .
This movie is really interesting to watch because screenplay as well as direction is pretty good.Characters are well fitted and most important is the fullfillment of dream of Diya who gives message to live life fully.
There are only few drawbacks that movie is bit long,speed is slow so audience can get bored in some places.It is not like commercial masala film which is liked by most of the audiences.
