Music: Monty SharmaCast: Sonam kapoor,Ranbir Kapoor,Salman khan,Rani mukherjeeAs soon as Ranbir Kapoor enters young girls started screaming their lungs and show their excitement towards the grandson of Raj Kapoor and lovable son of Rishi Kapoor.Sonam Kapoor is the daughter of all time favourite hero Anil Kapoor and shows her presence as well.All the credit goes to Mr.Bhansali who gave them chance and takes out the inherit talent of them in front of public.From director side story is inspired from a story "White nights" by Russian author Fyodor Dostoevsky.Music of the film is also very sweat and melodious and contains many beautiful songs sung by singers like Shaan,Kunal ganjawala.Songs are more based on expressions rather than dances.
Zohra sehgal again proves that she is one of the finest character artists in india,Ranbeer shares some humorous as well as immotional scene with her who lives in her house alone.Rani mukherjee is playing the role of 'prostitute' who teases Ranbeer all time and continuously gives him love tips but she does not want from heart that he should follow wrong path in life.In some scenes she makes audience really thoughtful.
Story continues like this Sonam meet Ranbeer and both fell in love with each other but there is past of Sonam Kapoor with Salman khan who left her one day after making promise of coming back.She waits for Salman ,in middle time she start liking Ranbeer and then liking changes in love.One day She got the letter from Salman of coming back then again her sentiments for him arises and become confused for what to do.Ranbeer sacrifices his love when salman come back and prays for their happy life.His sacrifice can be comared with his grand father Raj Kapoor.Movie is like Raj Kapoor classic and Ranbeer Kapoor is wearing the china hat like his grand father.
Sonam Kapoor looks like a long going actress with sharp features and beautiful look but she has to improve a lot in dialoque delivery.Rani and salman both play special role in film but related to story of film.There is no crowd of large no of artists in the film.Sets of the film is lavish and fairable credit to art director Omung Kumar.Cheoreographer Vaibhavi Merchant has really showed great skill and valuable work and is famous for classical work.
Story line is good but screenplay is slow and whole movie is surrounded by darkness of blue and black color.It doenot appeal to masses but appreciated by some of the critics only .Bhansali over budgeted film with no proper sense.Overall the movie lacks substance.
Verdict: AverageRatings: 5 in scale of 10.
