Athisayan is a 2007 malayalam movie directed by Vinayan.All the posters of Vinayan directed movies say about 'A Vinayan Touch'.Vinayan has made no attempts in his career to make good films.I have seen many of his films.Most of them are waste but it still is attracting some movie goers and he continue to make waste films.
Athisayan is not bad as his trademark films but it does have his signature containing animation scenes made cheaply but good considering the financials of malayalam films.One thing to be noted is that he have seen the hollywood movies HULK and HOLLOWMAN and he want to impress his regular viewers by mixing them with a cup of 'vinayan touch'.Even though this movie is a waste, i think kids are going to love this movie.
He has signed up Jackie Shroff in a lead role.Jackie Shroff is a scientist and he is researching on a drug that can make humans invisible (surely he has seen hollowman).He located to kerala and setted up a temperory lab in his apartment.Kavya Madhavan is his neighbour and she works for a news TV channel owned by Mukesh.Kavya was brought up by a Father (played by Tilakan) who runs a small orphanage.Kavya raises 10 orphans in her house out of her salary and gets them educated in a public schools where childrens of the elite class study.Ultimately the kids turn out to be the most intelligent ones in the school.So Kavya is happy except that she cannot pay all the bills out of her meagre salary and that her lover Roy is in Jail.
Jayasurya plays the character of Roy.He was a fellow journalist.Once they got a forsaken child at their doorsteps, jayasurya tried to found out the parents.He traced the home and there he finds that the child's mother is killed and he hears from the killers that the child belong to the Industry Minister and while clicking pictures Jaisurya gets hurt by Devan and his goons.He is then prosecuted for the murder with the help of fake evidences created by the Police Commissioner, Bheeman Raghu.
Master Devadas is one of the child raised by kavya Madhavan.He is an intelligent one in his school.He visits his neighbour Jackie Shroff's lab and watches his experiments every day.One day Jackie Shroff vanishes a white hare with his drug.He explains that the drug works on humans too.But they should wear white cloths and the medicine would work only for an hour.After that it the rabbit was visible.
An agreement (they mean Smart City) is going to be signed by the Revenue Minister (played by Rajan P.Dev) and the Industrial Minister (they mean Kunjali kutty in this role).With the help of the district collector (played by Karthika), Kavya plants her mobile phone with camera on in the hotel room where the ministers stay.Later that night, the ministers recieves lots of cash from Arabs as bribe for signing the treaty.She captures all those clips in her camera phone.The video file is stored in an SD Card.
She reaches Mukesh's Office and shows him the video.Mukesh promises to publish the clip via his TV Channel.But Jagadeesh the newscaster interferes and postpones it saying that they can do it after the board meeting later that night.Kavya takes the SD Card back showing her distrust in them.But Jagadeesh does the role of Judas.He leaks the news to the ministers and their islamic industrialist friend Devan.They sends the goons to Kavya's home and injures a child named Kingini and kidnaps Kavya.
The District Collector and Assistant Commisioner of Police, both acquaintance of Kavya could not raid the house of Devan, where kavya is locked up due to political pressure over their Offices.In a helpless situation, Master Devdas tresspasses Jackie Shroff's home.Jackie Shroff had just flown to US to take care of his daughter who was met with an accident.Devadas consumes the medicine and reaches the house and attacks the goons who tried to attack Kavya for the SD Card of her mobile phone.Since Devadas was invisible attacking the goons was easy for him.He gets the SD card from Kavya and kavya instructs him to give the card to the District Collector.Devadas loses the card in the home but he notes the location and he runs away since he was going to be visible soon.
He again reaches jackie's lab and this time he consumes the drug twice the amount and goes to devan's home and saves kavya.He gets Kavya dressed in a parda.Mistaking Kavya for her daughter, Devan's wife carries her to a shopping complex from where she escapes to Mukesh's home.Devadas couldn't find the memory card which had accidently fallen in his pocket.He reaches Mukesh's house in despair and he gets to sleep in tiresome.He gets sick and Kavya ask's the Collector for arranging a doctor and to call Jackie in US to help Devadas be visible.Since Devadas consumes twice the amount, he was not being able to be visible.Jackie assures over phone that he can get devadas back to normal.He advises the doctor that the kid would be allergic to metals ,so avoid syinges.The doctor karthika brings treats Devadas and makes him healthy.
Mukesh visits his Employee, Jagadeesh's house along with athisayan (Devadas calls himself like that) asks for a personal loan.Half heartedly Jagadeesh gives him the money.Soon Athisayan takes the 5 lakhs that Jagadeesh got for cheating kavya from the ministers.Mukesh then approaches the judge Mala and asks him to consider the case of Roy.Finding Mala as a devotee of Lord Muruga, Athisayan speaks to mala in the name of the GOd that he have seen Mala taking bribe for this case and he should do the right thing,Later in court, athisayan convinces mala to save Roy and order new investigation against Devan and the Industrial minister.The acquitted Roy visits Kavya.He was followed by Devan's goon and Jayasurya gets Kidnapped and killed.Jackie shroff and karthika reaches the place and while Mukesh heads for his studio to telecast the video on SD Card, he is stopped by Devan and his goons.Athisayan fights with the goons and accidently he gets shot from Devan's pistol.
Devan metamorphoses to a tall monstor like Hulk.Jackie says that athisyan's body is sensitive to a small needle and he don't know what to do.The bullet makes athisayan to a visible monstor.Athisyan kills all the enemeys.collector gets government order to shoot him down after Jackie fails in his lab to create a remedy.Athisyan in despair heads for the ocean and says adieu to Kavya and subsides in the sea.Kavya is shown waiting for Athisayan or his body at the beach with the children.His footsteps are seen at the beach and the movie ends with the text assuring the viewers that this malayali hulk will come back for the bad guys.
